STUDENT MEDIA @ GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY
During my first year of college, I joined the school newspaper staff as an intern reporter in the Arts & Entertainment section. After just a single semester, I moved to a deputy editor position at Reflector Magazine, the student lifestyle magazine. At the end of my freshman year, I moved into the role as Editor-in-Chief over the Special Publications division of Georgia Southern's Student Media.
My tasks as Editor-in-Chief included managing a staff, producing six different publications a year, serving as art director, and sitting on the executive board of the organization that was tasked with organizational strategic planning.
I lead the efforts in re-establishing a magazine with an extremely small audience, created a focused mission within my staff, as well as created new products that were never attempted ever before. It is through this dedication and innovation that I was able to stay in this position for another year.
Moving into my senior year, I jumped to our Marketing department to start a social services and native content division within Student Media.
Below you can find some of my favorite assignments, as well as some of the magazines I have managed over the years. If you would like to learn more about my Student Media experience from myself or a reference, feel free to send me a message.
BOROBEAT MOBILE APP
STRATEGY + DESIGN - Using content management system, Connect Publisher Solutions, myself and another staff member created BoroBeat, a news and lifestyle mobile application and email newsletter product for Georgia Southern students.
